Week 6 : Chapter 9

Sunday, 22nd October to Saturday, 28th October 2017

Deepa Katrodia BNP:Β  week 6: Post Diwali :

Positive paschytaap week (repentance week) only for those who did over indulgence)
1) Every morning: first thing in the morning :200 ml of warm water (not hot) with saunf(fennel seed) powder.

All seven days
Score : simple : do it for 7 days : 7/7. Do it for 3 days: 3/7
2)Detox, the beginning: one day ( Sunday or Monday ) full day only on fruits

( list of fruits to avoid : sitaafal , chikoo, mango, jackfruit, pineapple, banana, grapes . Fruits to prefer: Apple, Papaya, kiwi, oranges, water melon, musk melon and seasonal fruits which are not very sugary. No fruit juices (even without sugar )
Scoring: do it one day and you get : 7/7
Cannot do within 1st two days :0/7
3)Raw vegetable juice (raw: not cooked/not steamed: kaccha):

along with your breakfast for 5 days .
Scoring: do it for 5 days : 7/7. If done for 4days: 5/7 . if you could do it for 3 days: 3/3…anything less than 3: score : 0/7
Didn’t have for a single day: minus 2
4) self-control exercise:

Twice this week : Arrange your favourite fat inducing food items along with healthy item which you do not like in front of you.
Once example : keep chocolates, sugary sweets, pizza slice etc in front of you on dining table along with green tea or karela ka juice or doodhi ka vegetable juice. Look at your favourites : visualise eating them ,try to recall the taste : all this for 2 to 2and half minutes: after the exercise say loudly : I will not eat this : then eat /drink : green tea or karela ka juice or doodhi ka juice ,any of the item you dislike/abhor the most. Go and stand in front of mirror and praise and appreciate your willpower.
Score : do it 2 times : 7/7….do it 1 time : 5/7
Not doing: minus 2.
5) One compulsory work out : hill work out :

5 up and down run or walk or run –walk on Gandhi tekdi .After every climb up you will sit in the full vajrasan pose/namaz pose for minimum 60 seconds or more( you need to built this on so that you are able to do vajrasan for more time )So five ups will end with five vajrasan postures.

In case you are not in Mumbai or away select any hill kind of incline of at least 750 metre one way and do the similar exercise.
Scoring : do it once : 7/7
Don’t do it :0/7
6) No to dairy products : No milk, paneer , cheese for this week.

Have tofu, soya milk etc.
Score : simple : do it for 7 days : 7/7. Do it for 3 days : 3/7
7) Five days compulsory work out (excluding hill work out ) remaining 5 days : you can run , walk, cycle, swim, trek etc but with addition of 200 skipping or walking lunges for 5 minutes. You may add these just before, during or on completion of your chosen work out.
Score : do it for 5 days : 7/7. If done for 4days : 5/7 . if you could do it for 3 days : 3/3…anything less than 3: score : 0/7
Didn’t have for a single day : minus 2
Note: during this post diwali week you will devote six days for physical work outs : 1 hill +five of your choice
As the paschyatap( repentance) week rolls one, people get serious

25/10/2017, 13:26 – Deepa Katrodia BNP: Let’s meet at 6:15AM at Gandhi Tekdi base. We will have warm up for 15minutes and would start the workout sharp 6:30AM.
We will do run – walk while going up and controlled run while coming down as recovery.
Don’t push off to your home after the, as we will have selfie session after the run and lots of fun.
Members from all the groups are invited to join the run, while we have fun.

28/10/2017, 10:57 am – 30556 93200 91+ : Thanks a lot to our team leader, Deepa I too climbed Gandhi Tekdi for the first time. And was really surprised that could do five loops. The alternating four blocks runs and two blocks walk led ably by Deepa, made it look easy at the end of it all. Thanks to Sanjay, Suvendu, Bimal, Sarjerao, Meenakshi, Dharmesh bhai and Sheila too for their constant company and motivation. And the icing was the awesome and healthy salad as reward at the end of the task. Thanks Deepa once again, for the same. Not to forget Raut Saheb, who pushed us and also captured the beautiful moments, inspite of having a slow shutter camera phone. 🏻

Though I was in Normal BMI, I enrolled this weight loss project to reduce my 2 to 3KG weight for better performance in running. When I join my weight was 79.3kg & BMI 24.5.* I lose my 2.3kg till date. Now current weight is 77kg & BMI is 23.7..
I am very happy with this result. I don’t want to reduce furthermore and now to concentrate more on strengthening.
Usually a diet plan for weight loss or muscle building is monotonous. But you made it more diversified by providing variety of food plans week by week.. Thank you so much for making this weight loss challenge more simplified, enjoyable and competitive…

They all r really working very hard backstage, finalising challenges, discussions, huge brainstorming sessions, Strategies, lots of time and energy is consumed to see that everyone is benefited, that’s their only wish.
